Zombie Apocalypse: I Have Safe Zone Superpower

Chapter 732: Ally

Chapter 732: Ally

At that very moment, Tammy, Nanami, and Coco finally returned.

The expressions on their faces were extremely ugly. Especially Nanami.

Even now, he found it difficult to believe what had happened.

Despite all of his intelligence and planning, he had still fallen into a trap laid by humans.

Just as he was replaying the battle in his mind, Coco suddenly pulled out the life meter.

The device immediately began scanning.

Several moments later, her eyes widened in disbelief. "Ariana and Haku are dead."

Tammy and Nanami exchanged grim looks. Until now, they had severely underestimated the strength of the six hybrids.

That mistake had cost them dearly. Now they finally understood that they could not continue treating their enemies lightly.

Tammy immediately turned toward Nanami. "What about the reinforcements?"

Nanami’s expression darkened considerably. "I’ve already contacted several subordinates. They should be arriving at any moment."

The moment he finished speaking, Tammy clenched her fists.

"We can’t continue sitting around like helpless ducks."

Her gaze narrowed. "What about the human puppets? How are they doing?"

Hearing that question, Nanami’s face became even more unpleasant. "They aren’t doing well."

His voice was filled with frustration.

"All of them have lost consciousness. Even if I wanted to command them, I couldn’t."

Tammy’s eyes widened. "How? How are they constantly overturning every one of our schemes?"

Before anyone else could respond, Coco suddenly spoke.

"If things continue like this, we’ll never win. Rather than continuously launching small attacks, why don’t we protect our strongest attackers and preserve them for later?"

Tammy slowly nodded. That suggestion made sense.

Nanami, however, remained silent. A completely different plan had already formed inside his mind.

A month passed before everyone fully recovered.

During that period, Alice also gradually regained her strength.

Using Jeff as a medium and Barrett as the blood donor, Ivy successfully converted Alana’s children.

As a result, Alana, Felix, and all of her children had now become superior beings.

Meanwhile, Alice was facing a completely different problem. She was struggling to control her newly awakened ability.

During her transformation into a superior being, a special power had emerged.

Enhanced Intelligence. The ability was terrifying. She could instantly calculate populations within her detection range.

Complex mathematical equations that would normally require hours could now be solved within seconds.

It felt as though someone had unlocked a massive portion of her brain that had previously remained dormant.

While all of this was happening, Ivy continued hunting superior beings without rest.

Day after day, she searched. Unfortunately, her enemies had become much more cautious.

Instead of appearing directly, they constantly created smaller problems and distractions in every direction.

Just as Ivy was beginning to lose hope of finding them, an unexpected opportunity finally started to emerge.

To be more precise, Nanami had appeared once again.

An invitation had been delivered directly to Ivy.

The message was simple.

Nanami claimed that he possessed something Ivy would definitely be interested in. Furthermore, if she wished to negotiate, she only needed to arrive at the address specified in the invitation.

The moment Ivy finished reading it, her brows knitted together.

A sense of suspicion immediately rose within her heart. ’This has to be a trap.’

She was already preparing to decline the invitation when Jade unexpectedly appeared.

Honestly, Jade rarely showed himself. Months could pass without anyone seeing him.

However, every time he did appear, the information he brought was always valuable.

Because of that, Ivy trusted his judgment far more than she admitted.

When Jade calmly informed her that accepting the invitation would be beneficial, Ivy finally changed her mind.

Even then, she refused to go alone. Silas, Bella, and Jade accompanied her.

Along with the four hybrids came Silas’s entire team, followed by several hundred superhumans.

The group moved through the streets like a small army. The sheer size of the gathering attracted countless stares.

If it were anyone else leading such an enormous procession, they would have felt utterly embarrassed.

Fortunately, Ivy’s expression remained completely calm.

She walked at the front as though nothing was unusual.

Seeing her composed demeanor, everyone else managed to suppress their own awkwardness.

Eventually, they arrived at the designated location.

The moment Ivy saw it, she frowned.

In the invitation, the place had clearly been marked as a public park.

Yet what stood before them was nothing but ruins.

"This doesn’t look like a park."

Just as that thought crossed Ivy’s mind, a voice suddenly echoed inside her head.

"Bring only four of your subordinates and leave the others outside."

The voice paused briefly.

"I give you my word that this is not an ambush."

The moment those words ended, a beam of blue light suddenly shot through Ivy’s chest.

For an instant, her entire body stiffened.

Shock flashed across her face. Then she immediately began examining herself.

To her surprise, she felt no pain. Only then did she realize what had happened.

’The contract.’

Silas had previously told her about a special oath capable of enforcing honesty. Thinking of that, Ivy turned toward Silas.

Silas quietly nodded.

The confirmation immediately eased some of Ivy’s concerns.

Soon afterward, Ivy, Silas, Jade, and Bella entered the ruined structure.

Inside, Nanami was calmly sipping coffee. The atmosphere was strange.

As though they were meeting for a casual discussion rather than negotiations between enemies.

The moment they entered, Silas crossed her arms. "Why are we here?"

Her eyes narrowed. "Did you invite us just to mock us, or are you planning to threaten us?"

Nanami chuckled softly. He placed his coffee cup onto the table.

His gaze slowly moved between Ivy, Jade, and Silas.

Then amusement appeared in his eyes. "I have never seen three people maintain such a harmonious relationship."

Ivy frowned. "What exactly do you mean by that?"

Nanami merely laughed. "It’s nothing important."

Then his expression became serious. "More importantly, I have a proposal."

He leaned slightly forward. "Rather than remaining enemies, I propose that we become allies."

Ivy rolled her eyes. "Allies?"
