Chapter 262 Her Loss [5]

Amon raised his brows in surprise.

"You want me to cook for you?" He asked, his emotions evident.

Amelia nodded with a confident smile on her face.

"Prove what you said. I also heard from Katherine that you are an amazing cook, so this is the perfect time for me to check." She said, putting him up to the challenge.

Amon stopped in his tracks, looking back at the stall and then at Amelia.

He put on a thoughtful expression.

'Hmm..' After just a moment, he nodded with a smirk.

Since it was a challenge from the lady, it would be rude not to accept.

And he had nothing to do for now so why not?

He moved his eyes to the stall owner, who was still looking at the duo.

The owner looked at Amon as well, their gazes matching.

It was clear that Amon was asking for permission and...

Being a fan and wanting to see how Amon could make it better after giving it a low rating, the owner nodded happily.

"For sure sir! Of course." The owner smiled.

Amon nodded, his eyes turning back to Amelia.

"Sure. Bet I can make that rating go up to a 10." He adjusted his clothes and rolled up his sleeves.

Amelia returned his smile.

"If I don't, then you will do whatever I say for once."

"Of course."

Heading into the stall, Amon was given a small station at the side by the owner.

They couldn't provide him the main one as they still had customers to feed but it was enough for Amon.

It had everything he required anyways.

After being provided the meat, the salt, and everything, Amon quickly got to work.

He cranked up the grill to max, turning it to hot as quickly as possible while replacing the new coals with slightly used ones.

Amelia stood in front of him, watching him with the curiosity of a child.

Her amber eyes followed his every movement and technique with intrigue.

Amon didn't feel pressured by the gaze in any way, he was used to his sister watching him the same way in his previous life.

It brought back some memories again for him, however, unlike the first time in this world, he was able to control it pretty well.

Grilling the meat perfectly, Amon chopped up several other ingredients such as veggies as well.

"You know that including other things would be cheating right?" Amelia asked from the front.

Amon turned to her, cockily smiling.

"Nah, the base one will already be better than the previous one. I'm just doing this as an addition."

Amelia raised her brows.

"You sound cocky."

Amon shrugged, flipping the meat.

"It's gonna be all cockiness until you eat it."

After doing everything, Amon quickly put them all up into a stick and handed them over fresh and hot.

(Don't worry, I skipped the cooking process for yall this time.)

As Amelia took it from his hand, she observed it from every side.

Amon almost resisted a laugh at her expression. She looked like a food critic.

"The grill marks look better than the previous one but we'll only know when we eat it." She mumbled.

"Well..eat it." Amon eats one piece from his stick to start.

Immediately, his eyes widened a little.

"Yeah, this is definitely much better."

He turned to the owner-chef, who was focused on the customers.

Amon's expression froze.

"Huh? Did I hear that correctly?" He tried to confirm.

Even the chef was surprised. He couldn't see how this could be better.

"Yup, I'll give it a 9.5."

Amon's eyes widened.

'The fuck?"

[Hahahahahaha.]

[Hahahahahahaha.]

'Shut up you fuckers.'

A vein throbbed on his temple.

"Excuse me? So you are saying that it can be better than this?"

Amelia whistled, averting her eyes.

"Hmm, I wonder."

Amon tried to keep on the smile on his face as more and more veins appeared on his forehead.

"Oh, so why don't you show me how to make it better?"

Amelia turned to him, shrugging.

"I don't know how to cook."

"HUH?" Amon's eyes widened even more as he struggled to keep himself on his feet.

"If you can't even make this better than why are you saying it's a 9.5." Amon said, trying to control himself from shouting.

Amelia flicked his forehead.

"You are making no sense. A food critic doesn't need to make food better than that to give it a lower score."

[She actually makes sense.]

[True.]

'I'll beat your asses.'

"Whatever." Amon turned, gritting his teeth.

Amelia chuckled, seeing his face.

She seemed to enjoy teasing him and right now, even more.

"Welp, that means I win the bet."

Amon turned his face swiftly.

"Meh, whatever you want." He stepped out of the stall, walking further than her.

Amelia restrained a laugh before an idea came in her mind.

"Oh yeah, womp womp, cry about it." She smiled, clearly trying her best to not laugh out loud.

Amon's expression froze.

[Yoooooooooooo, the femmy got humbled.]

[Hahahahaha.]

'This girl...' Amon gritted his teeth, feeling like throwing his fists in the air.

There was nothing he could do right now.

So, he turned and started walking away again, not saying anything to her in response.

He was too defeated right now. His pride as a saiyan-

Wait, what was he even saying?

'I swear I'll get back at her in the worst way possible later.'

He quickened his footsteps while Amelia quickly tried to catch up to him from behind.

"Hey! Wait up!"

"NO!"

[What a moody princess.]

'Bitch.' Unfortunately, Amon had another headache in his mind.
