Chapter 234 - 234: A Chance To Save The Nobles

BOOM!

The violent force reverberated across the hall engulfing everything in flames. I heard screams, nobles toppling each other and people trying to escape. The servants were nowhere to be found, not even the guards could be seen, weren't they aware that their lords needed help?

'What?' I thought, witnessing the wall of fire before me, and the burning bodies of nobles.

The smell of roasted bodies and smoke pervaded everywhere, and it was so hot that breathing was impossible.

I couldn't find Drius, and I couldn't find Theo.

"Theo! Theo! Theo! Theo!" I screamed, drifting my eyes back and forth, in

"Guys, why don't you go ahead, I'll meet you later, I have got to use the toilet."

"Are you sure? I am certain that they have good toilets in there. Do you want us to wait for you?" Theo asked.

I looked at the young boy and then the hall appeared in my mind, I had been there, and so I could teleport. I just needed a quiet place that wouldn't capture any attention.

'Ah yes, where I had sat had little people. shouldn't startle too many of them there.

"No, just go on ahead, I will catch up in no time." I declared and urged the two to move forward.

Reluctantly, they did and went for the stairs, I saw Theo gave me a look and once he turned back to the stairs, I disappeared.

It was time for action, and I needed to be quick.

I ran to the side and looked for an empty corner to do my business, the thing was that it was night time and it shouldn't be a problem to find a spot and do terrible things, but the Royal Capital was different, it was like the city didn't sleep, which reminded me of certain metropolises back on earth that were dubbed the name, 'The city that doesn't sleep.'

Everywhere, every shop and almost every building were illuminated by a special rock which I later learned were called glow rocks and were one of the most valuable minerals gotten from the mines Duke Markus Gloria held.

Seeing the coast was clear, I called on five of my minions. The truth was that I needed more, but I couldn't afford scaring people and catching attention–wyverns weren't known to be very discreet, and I needed stealth more than ever now, for there were forces at play that I still don't have an estimate of their power and influence.

The last thing I wanted was to be a puppet under someone's strings.

I summoned Black–the best at stealth and the most dependable of my minions, and then the four demonified humans I had at my disposal.

, , , and . Though they were pale and lacked as much vitality as the average person, they could still blend in with the others.

They were the ones I needed.

I had Black sneak by and swiftly assault the guards that approved those that were to enter, taking them away from the scene.

I binded five of them with a high quality rope I got from , a cheap durable thing, and I had minions wear their armour, and since the armour covered a good portion of their bodies, there was little to worry about.

I showed them a copy of the letter of invitation which I had made being the over thinker I was and gave them the instruction to watch over the entrance, and to allow those who beared the scroll but bar and try to capture a pale woman who would dress in a terribly black gown as if she was attending a funeral and anyone that might be with her.

Getting her was a priority, and they understood this. Black had knocked the guys one by one, and I replaced them with , we were so fast, and almost instantaneous that nobody noticed us switching guards.

I placed Black on scouting duty, it needed to be everywhere all at once. I needed it to constantly watch around for any suspicious matters and report immediately to me.

Once I delegated these tasks, I realized that it was time for me to join the bunch.

I activated and I was in the hall, sitting where I had intended, and nobody freaked out from my sudden appearance, nobody noticed for I was nobody there.

'I must get Theo by my side and crack down this plot.'
