Star Wars: Escape from the Jedi Temple Begins

Chapter 61 Greaves is truly generous, Cade Bain

Chapter 61 Greaves is truly generous, Cade Bain

"R2, can you open the control room door?"

"Beep beep".

"Sigh, never mind, I'll handle it myself."

Lance put away his communicator and used his lightsaber to violently slice open the door.

The group quickly entered the control room.

A red warning light was flashing on the large display screen on the wall.

The hunter quickly walked to the control panel and deactivated the self-destruct program: "Sir, there are more robot armies heading this way."

"Asoka, take the Hunter and the Clearing King to pick up Omega and the others. I need a technician to modify the program on this tactical robot." Lance glanced at the tactical robot lying on the ground.

"Great idea!"

Ahsoka nodded with pleasure and led the two away from the control room.

A moment later, everyone had gathered.

Lance and Ahsoka stood at the door, keeping the entire robot army at bay.

The technician straightened the tactical robot, inserted a data extractor into its head, and rapidly tapped on the data display with his finger.

"How much longer?" the hunter asked anxiously as he fired.

"I'm working on it," the technician said while quickly modifying the tactical robot's code, "It'll be... done soon."

He doesn't need to modify all the code; he only needs to edit a small section to set them as friendly.

A dozen seconds later, the newly written code was successfully inserted.

"Done!"

The technician removed the metal panel under the control panel and pulled out several wires to replace the power supply for the tactical robot.

The tactical robot's electronic eyes, which had been turned off, lit up again.

"Order all robots to cease their attack."

The robot's electronic eyes flashed a few times, and it quickly issued instructions.

B1: "Aren't the Jedi our mortal enemies? Why did the boss order us to cease fire?"

Another B1: "Who knows? Maybe the boss got taken hostage."

B1: "Did the leader betray the alliance?"

"Who knows? Just follow orders..."

Having said that, it stopped pulling the trigger and pointed the gun downwards.

The surrounding robots all did the same.

The previously dense bursts of energy suddenly disappeared, and they all quietly crowded outside the door, staring at each other.

Upon seeing this, the hunters and others breathed a sigh of relief.

"Well done, technician."

Lance retracted his light blade and returned to the control room.

"Sir, this is what I should do, and it happens to be one of my strengths."

The technician adjusted his glasses, a slight smile playing on his lips. He spoke modestly, but a surge of joy welled up inside him.

"Sir, I have some good news."

He paused, then continued, "While I was checking the database of this tactical robot, I discovered the biggest secret of this base."

The technician pointed to the ground: "Grievous has hidden a Generous-class interplanetary frigate deep in the canyon below the base. It's probably a backup plan he left for himself."

"What?!"

Lance was very familiar with the starships of this separatist force.

The Generous-class interplanetary frigate is a multi-functional combat starship, 825 meters long, equipped with a super-wave jamming array, and capable of coordinating an entire robotic fleet.

It is equipped with a large number of turbo laser cannons, ion cannons, and anti-aircraft bombs, and can carry the Vulture robots of the Eighth Squadron.

If multiple ships in a formation concentrate their firepower, their firepower can rival that of the Republic's Jester-class cruisers, making them the main force for ambushing and blockading the battlefield.

"Grievous is really generous!"

Lance thought to himself that he was lucky he had acted in time, otherwise all his efforts would have been in vain.

The harvest they have gained far exceeded their expectations, making their long voyage of over a hundred hours and the fierce battle worthwhile.

With this frigate, the team's urgent problem was instantly solved.

even......

Their harvest could be even more bountiful.

Lance looked at the army of robots outside the door: "Technician, I want to recruit them. Can you do that?"

"What? But sir... the robots killed many of our brothers and belong to the separatists..." A look of astonishment flashed across the hunter's face.

"Hunter, you need to change your perspective." Lance patted him on the shoulder. "Haven't you seen it yet? Separatism is nothing more than Palpatine's tool for seizing power."

"These robots themselves are not evil; the key lies in the people who command them and how they are used."

The hunter lowered his head and pondered for a few seconds, then nodded emphatically: "Sir, you're right, I was narrow-minded."

"It's okay, the situation is changing too fast, we all need time to adapt."

Lance turned to look at the technician, awaiting an answer.

"I think it should be fine. We just need to reprogram this tactical robot to obey our commands."

A glint of light flashed in Lance's eyes: "Very good, you get started now, Ahsoka and I will go take a look at that generous Generous-class frigate."

"Yes, sir. I will transmit the starship's key and access code to R2 immediately."

......

Lance and Ahsoka left the control room and followed the route to an inconspicuous spot in the base.

The hidden metal door opened.

The two went inside, with R2 following closely behind.

The elevator descended rapidly, and a feeling of weightlessness washed over me.

They waited for several minutes before the elevator stopped and the metal doors opened.

"It seems Griffiths has put a lot of thought into this."

The base above has almost hollowed out half of the mountain, and a starship is hidden hundreds of meters below.

If Grievous had survived the Battle of Yutapa, with that mindset and backup plan, he could have developed rapidly even without the support of the Trade Federation.

Moreover, he certainly has more than just these as backup plans; he must have many other treasures hidden elsewhere.

Lance watched as the light bulbs above the corridor lit up one by one, revealing a straight, narrow passageway.

"careful."

He reminded Ahsoka beside him to activate his lightsaber and cautiously walk ahead.

The journey was surprisingly safe and unimpeded.

A dozen minutes later.

They saw the Generous-class star-rated frigate in a huge, secret room.

Board the bridge and activate the program.

The frigate is in good condition, with sufficient fuel, weapons and ammunition, and is ready for combat at any time.

"That's great!"

Lance couldn't help but sigh.

The frigate has enough space to park their shuttles, each person can have a bedroom, and even training rooms can be converted.

Even so, it occupies less than one-tenth of the space, enough to accommodate all the robots in the base.

"This is indeed a good place; it's secluded enough and has excellent facilities."

As Ahsoka spoke, he couldn't help but look at Lance.

The same thought simultaneously crossed their minds: why not take complete control of this base and make it their headquarters?

Upon careful consideration, this idea is quite feasible.

The Vasek-3 satellite is considered remote in the outer ring of stars, with few businessmen and tourists coming and going. As long as they keep a low profile and stay within the base, they are almost impossible to be discovered.

They can establish an ecological farm to meet the food needs of several people, thus greatly reducing the number of times they need to go out.

With so many benefits, Lance was somewhat tempted.

Just then, the hunter's voice came through the communicator:

"Sir, an intruder has broken into the base."

A holographic projection pops up.

A lean and tall figure was walking towards the interior of the base, his face obscured by a wide-brimmed round hat.

Lance stared at the monitor screen, a sense of familiarity washing over him:

Cade Bain.
