Chapter 1117: As Long as We’re Not Divorced, You’re Still a Walyon
The call was from Diana, and Summer Sutton had set her call alert with a photo, a photo with a stern face apt for a scolding at the drop of a hat.
Summer Sutton didn’t have to answer to know it was bound to be bad news; after some hesitation, she picked up her phone.
"I mean, don’t you have any shame?" Diana began with insults as soon as she spoke.
"You’re the one who told everyone Adrian was just missing, the one who wouldn’t admit his death, and you two haven’t even processed your divorce yet! As long as the divorce isn’t finalized, you’re still part of the Walyon Family!"
"Though I never wanted to acknowledge you as my daughter-in-law from the start, whether I accept you or not doesn’t have any legal standing. You’re still part of the Walyons, carrying the title of Adrian’s wife, and now you’re so openly flaunting affection with other men. Summer Sutton, how can you bear it?"
"I know, Adrian’s gone, and it’s impossible to expect you to remain single for him forever. But couldn’t you wait a couple of years to move on? Even if you’re looking for a new man, at least do it discreetly, but instead you make headlines every few days, letting everyone know Adrian’s wife is with another man now, that Adrian’s been cuckolded?"
Her reproach was direct, a cascade of accusations, evidently agitated by Summer Sutton.
Summer Sutton found herself unable to counter any of her words.
Holding the phone stiffly, she let the berating continue, her gaze inching towards Watt Bennet in the living room.
Just by observing her expression, Watt Bennet could roughly guess what happened.
Taking a few steps toward her, he grabbed her phone and tossed it aside, "Ignore her."
Everyone now thinks Adrian Walyon no longer exists in this world; who cares about being cuckolded then?
Moreover, once his identity is revealed, all of Diana’s concerns will automatically disappear.
The phone call was still connected, yet without a word from Summer Sutton, Watt Bennet had thrown it away.
On the other end, Diana heard Watt Bennet’s words, her teeth grinding with rage.
That insolent boy!
How dare he ignore her like this!
He’s just as rotten as Adrian Walyon!
Her teeth itched with hatred for Watt Bennet, but amidst her curses, she spat disdainfully to herself.
How could this punk compare to Adrian?
Though Adrian was no angel either, aside from that flaw, her son had nothing to criticize!
From the bottom of her heart, Diana despised the pairing of Watt Bennet and Summer Sutton, believing that any man encroaching on Adrian’s marriage couldn’t compare to Adrian himself.
The phone thrown aside, hands on her hips, Diana suddenly felt an urge to meet Watt Bennet someday.
She was curious to see what kind of man could take someone from the Walyons!
...
Summer Sutton’s mood was rather tangled all morning due to Diana’s intrusion.
At the dining table, stirring her spoon, breakfast felt a little unsavory to her.
She lifted her face slightly, casting a glance at Watt Bennet.
"Mom thinks you’ve been cuckolded, a cuckold!" she cautiously reminded him.
Watt Bennet’s eye twitched slightly, his expression seemed a bit dark.
"How does it feel to cuckold yourself?" Summer Sutton asked again.
Watt Bennet raised his hand and slammed the table, knocking her on the head, "Just eat!"
"Yes, yes!" Summer Sutton stuck out her tongue, burying her face to continue eating.
After taking a sip of porridge, Watt Bennet suddenly asked, "By the way, do you want to go to the hospital for a check-up these days? I’ll go with you."
