Rise of the Lustful Evil Monarch (Re)

Chapter 603: Red Haired Girl (1)

Chapter 603: Red Haired Girl (1)

Third Person’s POVIt was almost as if she were examining some rare treasure she had personally unearthed.

The whole situation made Ethan feel slightly awkward.

Fortunately, Dominic broke the silence.

"Greet the princess, Eryndor. She is the daughter of the Ice Emperor."

Ethan immediately understood that this was the woman who had originally discovered him beneath the mountain.

If she had not taken him out, he would have remained slumbering beneath those ice mountains for who knows how long.

Because of that, genuine gratitude appeared in his heart, and a faint smile appeared on his face.

"It is nice meeting you, Princess Arlene."

As he spoke, he instinctively extended his hand towards her.

However, before Arlene could react, Dominic snorted loudly.

"Don’t reach too high, young man. You dare try to touch the princess?"

Ethan immediately withdrew his hand, and only then did he remember that this world wasn’t his previous one.

A handshake might be ordinary elsewhere, but here it might be inappropriate for an existence like the daughter of a forbidden being who also happened to be a princess.

Arlene lowered her head slightly after hearing Dominic’s words, and her starry blue hair concealed her expression.

Ethan was curious about what she was thinking.

However, he wisely chose not to pry.

Dominic soon turned his attention back towards him.

"Now, Eryndor."

Then a sound transmission suddenly entered Ethan’s ears.

’Or should I call you Ethan?’

Ethan’s heart skipped a beat, but his expression remained unchanged.

But internally, his certainty reached one hundred percent that his old man truly knew his mother.

And more importantly...he knew exactly who Ethan was.

"We both know that Shixea has been blackmailing you into carrying out her unrealistic plans.

And even if we assume for a moment that her impossible plan somehow succeeds, there is absolutely no guarantee that she would keep her side of the bargain."

Ethan remained silent because deep down, he had already arrived at the same conclusion long ago, as he was not that naive to believe a stranger’s promise.

And one of the biggest reasons behind his growing hatred towards Shixea was exactly this.

Dominic smiled warmly.

"So it would be far better if you worked for me instead, young man.

Help me foil Shixea’s plans.

In return, you will enjoy all the resources, opportunities, and privileges available to one of the academy’s top students."

He paused briefly and then continued with a meaningful smile, but it was a sound transmission, clearly making it not for Arlene to hear.

’At the same time, you will also receive the opportunity to reunite with your mother.’

The old man spread his hands casually.

"Tell me, Ethan. Doesn’t that sound like a much better arrangement?"

The smile on Dominic’s face was warm, his voice was gentle, and his eyes appeared sincere.

He looked exactly like the harmless old scholar Ethan had first met, but Ethan wasn’t fooled anymore, because he had already seen what existed beneath that smile.

"Yes, I agree with you, Headmaster."

Hearing his answer, the old man laughed heartily and nodded with obvious appreciation on his face.

"Good. As expected of a talented and intelligent young man like you."

As he said this, Arlene, who had been sitting quietly beside the large master table until now, looked towards Ethan with visible curiosity in her eyes.

In truth, she knew almost nothing about him.

Everything she knew was limited to the events surrounding his discovery beneath the Aurora Mountain Range and the subsequent conflict that had erupted because of him.

As for his talent, his strength, his personality, his background, and even his true character, she knew absolutely nothing.

To her, Ethan was a complete mystery.

A handsome young man sleeping beneath an ancient mountain inside a frozen coffin was already strange enough.

But after hearing the way her teacher spoke to him and seeing the importance both Dominic and Shixea seemed to place on him and had considered him capable enough of performing such feats, her curiosity had only grown stronger.

Noticing the look in Arlene’s eyes, Dominic smiled knowingly before turning towards her.

"Little Arlene, why don’t you take our young friend here to the Crystal Formation Batch?

You can use the opportunity to get acquainted with him along the way."

A meaningful smile appeared on his face.

"After all, the two of you are going to be allies in the future.

It would be better if you understood our young friend a little more."

Arlene nodded obediently.

"Yes, Teacher."

She rose from her seat gracefully before looking towards Ethan and gesturing for him to follow her.

Ethan also stood up.

He nodded politely towards Dominic before following the beautiful young woman out of the circular study.

The heavy wooden door closed behind them.

Outside, the Initiation Deacon Bob still stood where Ethan had last seen him.

The broad-shouldered man maintained his usual stone-faced expression while standing guard outside the study.

Ethan’s gaze briefly swept over him before moving away.

After everything that had happened inside the tower, Bob no longer seemed important.

Compared to Dominic, the deacon was merely a subordinate.

The truly dangerous person was the old man sitting behind them.

The moment they left the room and entered the spiral staircase leading down the tower, silence accompanied them.

Arlene walked ahead while Ethan followed behind her at a leisurely pace.

For a few moments, neither of them spoke.

Meanwhile, Arlene felt a strange awkwardness rising within her.

She wasn’t normally someone who struggled to speak to people.

As the daughter of the Ice Emperor, she had met countless nobles, geniuses, young masters, and important figures throughout her life.

Yet for some reason, she didn’t know how to start a conversation with the young man walking behind her.

His appearance was unusually exotic, especially his crimson eyes, his long violet hair, and his calm and composed demeanor.

She could remember the way he had remained calm and devoid of any fear, despite being completely and utterly suppressed by her teacher in his study just a few minutes ago.
