Chapter 412: The Marine Headquarters Declaration

Chapter 412: The Marine Headquarters Declaration

A figure wearing a towering crown, a robe trailing across the ground, and holding a scepter slowly emerged.

Yet he did not first look toward the eight-hundred-year enemy, the Sun God Nika. Instead, he raised his head and looked toward the sky above Mariejois.

Drip.

The sound of liquid hitting the ground echoed.

Sizzle!

The ground was instantly corroded as a drop of magma fell from the sky and landed in the center of Mariejois’ ruins. It began expanding and writhing irregularly before directly condensing into the figure of Sakazuki.

A trace of blood flowed from the corner of Sakazuki’s mouth. He casually raised his hand and wiped it away while gazing at the mysterious figure who had finally revealed himself, his deep voice slowly rang out.

"So you finally came out..."

The enormous ruins of Mariejois now stood in a three-way standoff.

Sakazuki and the most mysterious being within the World Government stared at one another from afar, while the supposed main character of this era, the Sun God Nika, looked more like a confused monkey as he glanced back and forth between the two sides, seemingly thinking about something.

Both of them made him feel extremely uncomfortable...

The Moon.

At the center of the floating fleet, countless warships carried gigantic devices that continuously generated endless thunderclouds, covering the entire sky. The entire moon was now shrouded beneath storm clouds.

At the middle, surrounded by those warships, floated a massive island. That was Egghead Island, where Vegapunk resided.

Inside the laboratory, an old metal ship had been placed there, while several strange animal-like creatures lay on the ground. They did not belong to any race found on the massive blue planet below.

These were the beings discovered by Enel and Bullet after arriving on the moon. There had been no time to properly research them, but the crude ships and the weaponry they carried clearly showed one thing. The universe did not seem peaceful either.

But nobody had time to care about that now.

Several of Vegapunk’s clones stood before the control platforms, synchronizing their operations and calculating the gigantic shadow that had appeared above Mariejois moments ago, along with that unbelievable energy attack.

Looking at the data on the screens, Vegapunk weakly lowered his hands and shook his head.

"There is no other way... We can only follow Sakazuki’s plan. That thing is not something this era should ever possess. We have no other choice..."

Without realizing it, his fists tightened as his thoughts sank further.

’If only we had a few more decades... if only infinite energy had been completed sooner... if only...’

But there were no such possibilities.

Now the only option was detonating the Red Line and using Pluton’s main cannon to create an energy clash. Only then could they destroy that being while also preventing the planet’s core from being pierced through.

Beside him, Enel remained silent and expressionless as he directly turned and walked away. "I’ll go prepare."

Bullet also showed no emotion. He closed his eyes and turned around. "We’re leaving, Soter."

No matter what emotions they carried, a soldier’s first duty was always to obey orders...

In the corner, Soter stared at the Vivre Card in his hand that had already burned halfway away. He clenched his teeth tightly, swallowing all the pain in his heart before forcing his voice back to calmness.

"I’m coming."

He placed his father’s Vivre Card against his chest. The burning sparks felt almost like his father’s warmth still pulsing there, before he turned around and walked out to carry out his orders.

Vegapunk stared at the massive screen filled with endless streams of data.

Boom.

His clenched fists suddenly smashed into the control console as his body trembled nonstop and droplets fell onto the floor. It was as if all strength had left him as he collapsed weakly onto the ground...

New World, New Marineford.

On the execution platform, Carlo sat alone before the three heads of the Emperors and silently lowered the Den Den Mushi connected to the moon after ending the call.

He slowly stood up, patted away nonexistent dust from his clothes, and carefully straightened his uniform.

Closing his eyes, he adjusted his emotions. When he opened them again, his gaze had become sharp and resolute as he took out another Den Den Mushi and pressed its switch.

The Den Den Mushi connected to Egghead Island on the moon released an invisible signal wave that instantly invaded the world’s entire communication network.

Whether pirates in the New World, Marines in pursuit, or ordinary people across the Four Blues, every Den Den Mushi in the world was forcibly activated, interrupted, and switched over.

Inside chasing warships, inside homes during meals, across crowded public squares on islands, countless people looked toward the figure suddenly appearing through their Den Den Mushi screens.

At this moment, the entire world could only hear Carlo’s voice and see his image broadcasting through the Den Den Mushi, a declaration to the world.

Within the image, Carlo’s expression was solemn and exhausted. Behind him, the heads of the pirate Emperors symbolized the Marines’ victory while the coat of justice fluttered behind his back.

Looking toward the empty island, his slightly hoarse voice echoed throughout the entire world.

"This is Marine Headquarters. We are now issuing an emergency evacuation notice.

"This is Marine Headquarters. We are now issuing an emergency evacuation notice.

"The world is about to suffer a catastrophic disaster. Marine Headquarters no longer has the ability to maintain order across the seas.

"We are now issuing an emergency broadcast to all nations, all islands, World Government organizations, Marine branches throughout the world, and Revolutionary Army organizations.

"Using the entrance of the New World as the central direction point, prepare to resist the coming disaster.

"We call upon all nations and island civilians to prepare against typhoons, tsunamis, earthquakes, and other disasters. Everyone must actively attempt to save themselves.

"If your island contains a Marine branch, civilians may head there on their own to seek assistance. All Marine branches must actively participate in rescue operations and post-disaster reconstruction.

"We ask all people across the world to unite every possible force together and overcome this disaster side by side.

"All Marine branches across the world must take the initiative and stand at the forefront to guarantee the safety of every nearby civilian. If necessary, do not fear sacrifice. This is the Marine’s responsibility and duty. It is also our glorious mission.

"At the same time, all civilians across the world are requested to supervise one another. Beware of criminal activity and cease all wars and national conflicts. No matter the circumstances, the law still remains in effect.

"Post-disaster reconstruction must be treated as the highest priority. Marine Headquarters and the World Government still exist, and we will not easily abandon the lives of any civilians.

"Please spread this message to one another. Justice will return to the seas. People around the world, do not abandon hope.

"March 17th, Year 1522 of the Sea Circle Calendar.

"Declaration from Marine Headquarters."
