Chapter 54: Killing Ping Yin, Abundant Rewards

After a few minutes of back and forth between Lucifer, his clones, and Ping Yin, the winner was finally on the verge of being decided.

Even though 12 of the clones died in this endeavor, Lucifer felt that he was close to tipping the explosive battle into his favor.

Ping Yin roared, his large hands beating his spike covered chest as he looked like a demonic King Kong. Except he was the version of King Kong that was most definitely on steroids!

Lucifer and all his clones sent out numerous fifty-meter wide sword arcs, aiming his and all the other clones' attacks on the exact same spot.

Ping Yin's outer skin was extremely tough with the new transformation. Thus, focused strikes like these ones were necessary if Lucifer wished to get into the gooey insides of this stupid monstrosity.

It was only after the ten thousandth Sword Arc plunged into the deep wound on Ping Yin's body that he finally fell down.

The monstrosity died right then and there. With its Core shattered and its heart crushed, the existence known as Ping Yin was no more.

"Do... Do I wanna loot this freak? I mean, those parts on his back should definitely be worth something..."

Lucifer contemplated the matter of skinning some human/monster hybrid, ultimately deciding that it would be best if he... looted the sh*t out of it!!

"No matter where the loot comes from, loot is still loot in the end!"

Lucifer sang a quaint tune while slashing away at the outer hide of the beast.

Even though it was extremely tough to carve the hide and horns off its body, everything was worth it in the end. After all, these materials could definitely be used in the creation of a Late-Mortal Rank Treasure Weapon!

As Lucifer finished up the gutting of the monkey, a number of system notifications rang off inside his head.

Lucifer brooded over the choices he could make in this situation.

He could kill her and obtain immediate benefits...

Or he could let her live and play the part of the Rising Heavenly Genius of the Devilduke Family.

The first choice sounded quite enticing to Lucifer in the heat of the moment. However, he knew deep down that the correct option to make was the later one. Plus, all that acting he did earlier would've been for naught if he didn't go through with a solid follow-up.

He always forgot her name, and even if she told him her name, he would likely forget it all the same.

Fu Wen observed the ragged clothing on her nephew and smelt the fresh scent of iron-filled blood. Even though she was not there to personally witness it, she could infer what had occurred.

"Were you really able to defeat Ping Yin and the other Peak Core Formation Realm Water Nation Elders...?"

She could hardly believe it herself, but there was no other reasonable explanation for what was happening.
