Li Wei wasn’t particularly surprised to hear Kristiman say he was from the Hundred Flowers Clan.
He had already guessed the man’s identity the moment he saw him recognize Evelyn.
Alice gave Crystal Flowers to four members of the Hundred Flowers Clan.
Yet he himself had received two Crystal Flowers mailed by Alice.
This meant that at least two members of the Hundred Flowers Clan were with Alice.
So he had naturally guessed the man’s identity.
A very simple bit of logical reasoning.
Li Wei introduced himself, "Hello, my name is Li Wei. This is Lilith. We’re from the Elemental Tower."
He was using the Elemental Tower’s reputation to intimidate Kristiman a little.
This way, even if he had any ill intentions, he wouldn’t dare to act recklessly.
Li Wei didn’t fully trust Kristiman, nor did he consider him a teammate yet.
Even though Kristiman was part of the Hundred Flowers Clan, Li Wei didn’t know him.
Trusting a stranger rashly would be irresponsible.
When Kristiman heard that Li Wei and Lilith were from the Elemental Tower, he looked astonished.
"The Elemental Tower?"
He had heard of the Elemental Tower’s great reputation and subconsciously regarded Li Wei and his companion as powerful Mages.
Kristiman had also not expected that Evelyn would be able to invite Mages from the Elemental Tower.
Seeing that there was nothing more to do here, Li Wei shifted his attention to his Illusory Body.
The Illusory Body was flying rapidly over the forest, skimming the treetops as it sped toward Evelyn’s location.

A huge tremor came from the distance, and a plume of thick smoke was rising.
Li Wei realized that Evelyn had likely run into an enemy.
He said quickly, "It looks like something’s happened over by Evelyn. We need to hurry and provide support."
Upon hearing this, Kristiman looked into the distance, where a faint plume of thick smoke was rising on the horizon.
It was difficult to see without looking closely.
Kristiman’s expression turned grim. "Evelyn has most likely run into a Poison Scorpion Beast!" he said.
"We have to go help."
Li Wei shot up into the air, turning into a streak of fire as he flew toward the distance.
Lilith transformed into a shadow and moved quickly along the ground, her speed no less than Li Wei’s.
Kristiman followed behind Li Wei, his body as light as a feather, riding the wind in Li Wei’s wake.
Sensing someone behind him, Li Wei instinctively glanced back.
Kristiman smiled at him. "You don’t mind if I catch a ride, do you?"
Li Wei was a little surprised. "That’s a really impressive ability you have."
Kristiman said modestly, "It’s nothing, just a little trick."
Li Wei glanced at Kristiman before turning his gaze forward again.
He recalled Kristiman’s title within the Hundred Flowers Clan—Windflower Messenger.
Li Wei knew what a Windflower was.
A type of plant that could drift with the wind.
Its seeds often ride the wind to scatter across the land.
It seemed Kristiman had a similar ability—the power to travel on the wind.
Li Wei left a sliver of his consciousness with his main body to control its flight path.
He transferred the majority of his consciousness to his Illusory Body.
Once his focus was on the Illusory Body, the Power it displayed immediately surged.
The Illusory Body’s flight speed increased.
Fire Escape!
The Illusory Body transformed into a streak of fire across the sky, leaving a trail of sparks in its wake.
Soon, Li Wei saw Evelyn.
She was surrounded by a sea of flowers, and within it, several monsters were relentlessly attacking her.
This was also the first time Li Wei had seen Evelyn fight with her full strength.
This showed that the enemies she was facing were incredibly powerful.
As Li Wei got closer, he could clearly see the Poison Scorpion Beasts rampaging through the sea of flowers.
A poisonous mist emanated from the Poison Scorpion Beasts, easily corroding everything around them.
The sea of flowers Evelyn had created withered in swathes under the corrosion of the Poison Scorpion Beasts’ toxic mist, releasing a pungent smoke.

Evelyn reappeared in mid-air.
A giant rose vine lifted her up, carrying her away from the ground.

Evelyn crossed her hands, and countless thorny rose vines surged out from the sea of flowers on the ground.
The vines coiled around the Poison Scorpion Beasts’ bodies, tightening relentlessly.
KRAK! KRAK! KRAK!
The thorns collided with the Poison Scorpion Beasts’ incredibly tough carapaces and snapped.
Some thorns, however, managed to pierce into the Poison Scorpion Beasts’ carapaces.
The Poison Scorpion Beasts swung their massive pincers, easily shredding the surrounding vines.
They swept their tails behind them, shattering large swaths of rose vines.
PFFT!
One Poison Scorpion Beast had silently crept to the base of the vine beneath Evelyn.
It raised its tail, and a venomous stinger shot out.
The incredibly sharp stinger instantly pierced through the giant rose.
Evelyn noticed the Poison Scorpion Beast below her, but she hadn’t expected that its stinger could be used for a ranged attack.
Caught off guard, she hastily dodged but was grazed on the arm by the stinger.
Instantly, Evelyn’s fair arm turned purplish-red, then gradually darkened to a bluish-black.
The Poison Scorpion Beast’s stinger was incredibly venomous.
Not even a Tier Four Extraordinary Professional could withstand it.
Evelyn couldn’t feel any pain in her arm; half of her body was already numb.
She felt her mind grow groggy. When she tried Casting, she found it hard to focus her Spiritual Power and couldn’t mobilize her Mana.
A chill went down Evelyn’s spine; she had a very bad feeling.
She forced herself to muster her strength.
"Absorb!"
The giant rose beneath Evelyn’s feet grew rapidly, surpassing a hundred meters in the blink of an eye.
The giant rose enveloped her, forming an incomparably sturdy Armor.
The Poison Scorpion Beasts swarmed up the vine, relentlessly attacking the flower bud that encased Evelyn.
Under the Poison Scorpion Beasts’ venomous assault, the incredibly sturdy flower bud began to corrode and wither.
By now, Evelyn had lost consciousness and was lying inside the rosebud.
A rose-red glow emerged from her body.
A surge of Power was preserving the last of her life force.
Li Wei saw that Evelyn was in dire peril, surrounded by so many Poison Scorpion Beasts.
’There’s no other way.’
He controlled his Illusory Body to charge directly toward the flower bud.
"Shadow Attendant!"
The Illusory Body summoned the Shadow Attendant.
"Get her out of here."
Li Wei directed his Illusory Body to charge at the Poison Scorpion Beasts.
The Illusory Body only had one-tenth of his Power.
It couldn’t possibly deal with so many Poison Scorpion Beasts; there was only one way to save Evelyn.
Li Wei’s Illusory Body rushed up to the Poison Scorpion Beasts.
The Poison Scorpion Beasts all launched their attacks at it.
Without dodging or evading, the Illusory Body charged straight through.
A sharp scorpion tail pierced the Illusory Body’s chest.
In the blink of an eye, the Illusory Body was torn to shreds.
In the final moment before the Illusory Body completely shattered, all of its Power condensed within it and erupted.
BOOM! BANG!
The Illusory Body, with one-tenth of Li Wei’s Power, self-destructed.
The terrifying explosive force instantly engulfed the surrounding Poison Scorpion Beasts.
The massive rose was also blasted open, leaving a gap.
The Shadow Attendant seized the opportunity to slip inside and carry Evelyn away.
