Chapter 1297 - 90: Members_3

Wei’Er walked to the center of the table and said, "As we progressed, the Undying Club underwent a great transformation, turning from a club into... into an arena."Bologue suddenly recalled Sai Zong’s collection, those displayed weapons; since then, Bologue had felt the current club was not showing its true nature, and it turned out to be true.

"Sai Zong, it was Sai Zong waiting for us in the arena, but before we could do anything, we were sent back to our rooms," Serey said, glancing at the black cat on the table, "except for Wei’Er."

"Wei’Er managed to avoid the return with its peculiar ability, and that’s why it witnessed what happened next," Bode continued.

Bologue looked at Wei’Er; everyone was looking at Wei’Er.

"All the members were confined until the door opened again in the morning, and only then did they regain their freedom. I asked almost every member, and everyone said that when they joined the Undying Club, Sai Zong was already there. Sometimes he’d wear a funny mascot costume; other times, he’d take on other roles... In other words, perhaps Sai Zong is the oldest among us.

Sai Zong might be the first member of the Undying Club, or even its owner and master."

Wei’Er’s words caught everyone’s attention. In the long history of the Undying Club, nearly every member had speculated about who the owner was, but despite their lengthy conjectures, they never found an answer. But today, the secret might finally be revealed.

Bologue could sense everyone becoming excited; their breaths carried a hint of tension.

"I avoided the return, cautiously sneaking through, and I saw Sai Zong taking off that ridiculous mascot costume. He was covered in wounds, with flames flickering on him."

Wei’Er’s voice became ethereal, as if narrating a distant story.

"I saw him talking to another person. Their conversation did not go well; they were almost in a confrontation. I guess that’s why the members were awakened. That person might be the enemy of the Undying Club."

"Who was the person talking to Sai Zong?" Bologue asked the point.

"A strange person," Wei’Er said, "wearing a heavy diving suit, covered with sticky tar."

As Wei’Er described it, Bologue’s expression grew more serious, a change noticed by others. Serey cautiously asked.

"Bologue, you don’t recognize that person, do you?"

The members all turned to Bologue; Bologue remained silent, keeping his head down. After a long time, he finally spoke.

"And then? Wei’Er? And then?"

"Then?" Wei’Er replied, "They disappeared from where they were; I don’t know where they went."

Bologue took a deep breath. He had already guessed the identity of the other person. Besides Leviathan, he couldn’t think of anyone else wearing such a bizarre outfit. Moreover, who else but him could make Sai Zong face with such seriousness?

As for where they went, Bologue’s gaze shifted to the staircase.

"What do you know? Bologue."

Wei’Er walked up to Bologue, its cat eyes staring intently, questioning. From Bologue’s behavior, he seemed to know more than anyone present, which made sense, given that among all the members, Bologue was the only Order Bureau staff member and held a high position.

Bologue exhaled slowly and leisurely drew the black blade from his waist. The cold, dark Blade was like a shadow.

"I need to ask someone first, don’t know if he’s home."

Bologue joked, and the next moment, the Blade slit his throat.

Wei’Er couldn’t dodge in time, getting splattered with blood, momentarily stunned, then jumping off the table while screaming. The other members were frozen in place, leaving only Bologue’s body slumped in the chair, his throat wound gushing a small fountain of blood.

Everyone shifted their gaze to Serey, who awkwardly said.

"Don’t look at me; how would I know what these young people are thinking..."
