Chapter 1846: Chapter 1636: On his way back

Due to the ongoing conflict with the Chaos organization, the outside world was shrouded in a dark, oppressive aura. Though the war had not fully erupted, skirmishes broke out regularly, with waves of monsters invading small villages and cities. Many sinister factions were forming, each eager to pledge loyalty to Chaos. Alex and his allies had one primary objective: to thin their ranks before the inevitable clash with the true enemy still lurking in the shadows.

Having just dealt with a group of dark mages, Alex felt little satisfaction. He knew there were countless others still out there. Resolute, he prepared to continue cutting down their numbers on his way back home.

Two hours later, Alex arrived at another village, only to find it under siege by a wave of monstrous creatures. The attack had been swift and brutal, leaving the villagers with no time to escape. Fires blazed along the outskirts, and the cries of terrified townspeople echoed through the narrow streets. His arrival could not have been more timely.

Without hesitation, Alex charged into the fray, summoning his silver gun. He raised it, quickly assessing the situation: the creatures were a chaotic mix-gnarled beasts with clawed limbs, serpent-like shadows, and twisted, lumbering trolls-all clearly summoned by dark magic. They moved with ruthless precision, tearing through the village defenses as the townsfolk scrambled for cover.

With a sharp flick of his wrist, he activated Xerox, summoning a second gun into his free hand. He dropped into gun-ota mode, his focus sharpening as he became a blur of motion, moving seamlessly through the chaos. Every step, every shot, was calculated, lethal. He took down the smaller monsters first, his bullets striking true with each pull of the trigger. Silver flashes burst across the battlefield, each shot leaving a creature writhing on the ground or dissipating into dark mist.

With a swift, decisive movement, he brought the flaming sword down on the nearest creature. Wrath sliced clean through its armor-like scales, the beast letting out a guttural cry before disintegrating in a burst of ash and smoke. The surrounding monsters hesitated, momentarily stunned by the sheer power of his weapon, but Alex didn't give them time to recover.

He lunged forward, his movements a blend of speed and raw aggression. Wrath left a trail of fiery arcs in its wake, each swing igniting the air and scorching the earth beneath him. He spun and cut through the horde, each strike a deadly dance of fire and steel. His enemies fell one after another, consumed by flames before they could even raise their claws.

A particularly massive creature-a dark, wolf-like beast covered in shadowy tendrils- charged at him with a feral snarl. Alex met it head-on, plunging Wrath into its chest. The sword's flames flared brighter, scorching through the beast's hide as it howled in agony. Alex twisted the blade, letting the fire consume it entirely before pulling Wrath free, leaving nothing but smoldering remains.

The remaining monsters tried to retreat, but he showed no mercy. Wrath sang through the air, each strike a purging fire, each movement relentless. Alex was unstoppable, moving like an avenging force, his blade cleaving through anything in his path.

As the last creature fell, Alex stood in the center of the battlefield, surrounded by scorched earth and the lingering heat of the flames. The village was safe, the threat vanquished. He glanced at Wrath, the flames dimming slightly as the blade recognized the battle was over. With a final, controlled breath, he released the Sin Form, and Wrath vanished in a wisp of smoke.

Without a word, Alex turned and left the village behind, his mission far from over. He knew this was only the beginning.
