The demon stood between her and the demon lord, clearly showing that he could not approach her and the demon lord chuckled and lifted his hand feigning surrender, assuring the demon he won't come anywhere near her.
Nessa looked at him, knowing that he was not only curious but he was also up to something, since she caught a glimpse of mischief in his eyes and a swirl of purple energy behind him, playing around his index finger, which was behind his back.
"What are you up to? Are you that curious about her?" The demon asked with a dangerous glint in his eyes, which did not go unnoticed by Nessa.
She realized that he was getting protective of her, even though he knew she was more than capable of taking care of herself and she couldn't help but smile, finding the situation amusing in a way.
"Yes, unfortunately I am curious about the little girl," He responded and Nessa's brows twitched in irritation at being called a little girl, just because she was younger and she glared at him, to which he chuckled.
The demon lord chuckled, finding the situation amusing as well "You are a feisty one, aren't you? Interesting."
She scoffed and the demon chuckled, seeing her irritated look, knowing the demon lord was starting to get under her skin, with his snarky comments and she was getting more annoyed by the second.
"Maybe you are right, so what? Is there anything to it? Does it bother you? After all, everyone has secrets they are not willing to even let the world peek at, even you," He responded and the demon lord burst out laughing as he looked at them.
"Interesting, you are daring and there is more to both of you than meets the eyes, a secret worth discovering with due time, I like both of you, no one would dare stand in front of me and talj the way you guys are currently doing, muchless barge into my home unannounced and challenging me, demanding.... I have to say this is quite a refreshing situation, one of the best in years," He said.
Nessa stared at him with an unamused look and he left staring at her then chuckled, as his servants nearby froze, wondering what was going on since they all feared him and had never seen him this way before, which was scary to them.

"She won't be doing that and please stop messing around and tell us your decision, will you help us with the information we need or not? Was it a waste of time coming here?" The demon asked and the demon lord exhaled deeply then glanced at him.
"Fine, fine, you two are quite an unexpected duo, I like both of you, let's get serious then, the things you mentioned before, I heard about them and this secret organization who has been causing trouble in many places, I won't deny that I have heard of them and I now know they are a threat to the stability we built over the years," He responded.
"Yeah, they won't mind uprooting it all, which is what they are currently doing," Nessa said and he nodded.
"Yes, I am aware of that fact from my sources, who witnessed their mess firsthand, they are a threat one that I want gone, for mutual reasons, I will help, I will provide that which is needed," He said with a smirk and Nessa's eyes narrowed as his servants and men stared at them, bewildered that he actually agreed to their terms.
