Chapter 424 Whether or not

The demon was curious to know what Nessa would do and wondered whether she would go up against the demon lords, despite not knowing whether she would win or not and he also wanted to know more about her.

Nessa lowered her gaze as she thought about a few things, which included the question he had just asked her and her eyes narrowed as she remembered when she first came to the world and the feeling she got upon arrival.

Nessa knew that there were many things off about her coming to the world, some of the dots that she was connecting, were shining light on places, she knew would bring a fight to her door sooner or later and she scoffed, thinking about how many innocents were dying.

"Yeah, I would go up against them, even if it means destroying theur entire nations, I will protect mine," She said with a piercing look in her eyes as she looked up at the demon and both he as well as Sai, left staring at her.

"Is that so?" He asked and she stood up then approached him, before leaning in closer and he glanced at her as she looked at him.

"Yeah, but you don't seem that surprised, which means you were expecting that much from me, weren't you?" She asked as he looked her directly in her eyes and Sai looked at the two, within a tense atmosphere.

"Yeah, I was, I am starting to understand you better, but whether it is good for me or not, I am going to leave it for the future to decide, let's see what happens then, also you have my word, I am going to send a few of my friends to help you, they are quite keen and it's hard for them to miss things," He responded

After hearing that, Nessa sighed then stepped away from him and Sai scoffed as he looked at the two and the demon grabbed onto her arm, before she could turn away and she glanced back at him.

"What is it now?" She asked.

"The dots that you are currently connecting in your head there, who are they leading to?" He asked and her eyes widened as she stared at him, not knowing what to say.

"Demon, can you get your friends to look into a few things for me or can you do it yourself?" She asked and he nodded then she sighed, feeling a bit relieved, for there were certain things, that she couldn't risk doing by herself at the time and had to use other means.

"Good, handle it, she is a keeper," A guy who was working with them and was passing by said and Nessa chuckled.

"Well, are you going to call it a night or do you want me to keep your company?" He asked as he leaned in closer to her and she smiled.

"Do you want me to actually take you up on that?" She asked and he left staring at her as she held his collar, playing with it and his eyes narrowed.

"What do you want?" He asked and she scoffed.

"It doesn't matter, stay if you want, I will sleep, I have lots of work to do tomorrow, Riki and the others will be leaving as well," She responded as she stepped away from him.

"There is nothing wrong with putting yourself first at times," He said and she stopped in her tracks and then lowered her head.

'This guy is literally the cold demeanor type and yet... Whatever,' She thought.

"I know, go sleep, we will talk later about all of it, good night," She replied and his brows furrowed.

"Fine, good night, be careful," He said then she went to her room, while he went outside and the girl decided to call it a night, with a lot lingering on her mind, foe the toughest parts of her life were about to begin the very next day.
