mikala flinched after the glass broke and the demon glanced at the device and before anyone could pick it up, he grabbed onto it and the king glanced at him and kyle's eyes trembled as did his hands and just when he was about to make a run for it.
the demon slashed him across his back and he fell to the ground, in pain and the demon looked down at him with his eyes narrowed and kyle exhaled deeply as he looked back at him.
"you guys are about to regret a whole lot, the real game is only now getting started, you will all regret it," he said and the demon chuckled.nôv(el)b\\jnn
"so what? in times of war, these things happen but in the end, you people as well as your leader will burn and i will make sure of it," he replied and kle rushed forward and was about to grab mikala.
just then, the girl's eyes began glowing and she was about to grab her sword but at the same time, a sword passed through his chest.
mikala gasped as kyle fell to the ground, on his knees and she looked up at the demon as he pulled the sword out of him and the blood splattered on the ground.
"there is nothing we needed from him anyways, are you okay?" the demon asked as he looked at mikala and she smiled.
"yeah, i am fine, thank you very much," she responded.
"you are welcome, now, can i ask you all something?" he asked.
after she finished with the dome, she landed on the ground then exhaled deeply before holding onto her head, for she was tired but just then, she heard someone crying and her eyes widened when she saw it was a child, who lost someone in his family.
"damn it... the bodies are now being buried, one loss to the next, i have to step up and at a fast rate, not at the one, which i have been going at until now, a few things need rebuilding, but good thing too much wasn't damaged and it won't take more than a few weeks, but the scars that was left behind from those who died...' she thought.
nessa lowered her head as the sun began setting and at the same time, riki approached her and he tapped her on the shoulder and she looked up at the sun then sighed, for she didn't realize it was that late already.
"riki, i am going to give you as well as the others a few tasks to do tonight, it's not too much nor is it hard, are you okay with that?" she asked and his brows furrowed as he looked at her.
"lady nessa... yeah, that's okay, anything you want, please go ahead and say it," he responded and she clenched her right fist as she felt as though something was changing within her body.
nessa began telling riki what she needed to be done, all which were concerning the aftermath of the fight and ways to help get things on track and help those that were in need of help, especially those that lost people dear to them.
after an entire night of cleaning up most of the mess and working on other things, nessa went home to get some rest, for they had more work to do in the morning.
the girl freshened up and changed into her nightdress then went to her bed, where she found it hard to sleep, for everything was still on her mind and her thoughts were in a mess.
'i am going to meet the families of those that lost their lives and i am going to visit mikala and the others as well, i am sure they may have a lot of questions for me,' she thought as she closed her eyes.
that night, nessa had a hard time sleeping, for a lot of things were on her mind and she had lots more to do, but after a little while, she managed to fall asleep.
