Chapter 394 Too friendly?

that night, nessa did not expect to see the leader of the council members there and that made her feel a little bit weird and didn't really like it, but she knew that she couldn't just judge someone like that and she smiled at him.

the demon glanced at her and noticed the way she was being then he sighed and glanced at the leader, who was looking at nessa.

the princess began introducing the two to each other, including what was nessa's so-called purpose there and the king glanced at them then smiled, seeing they were all getting along so far.

"so, you came here on behalf of kurson?" he asked.

"yeah, i came here at first on behalf of him but then got caught up with these guys and that took another turn as well, as you may have heard," she responded and he chuckled.

'yeah, i heard all about what happened here from these guys, not a detail missed, perhaps, you seem quite young, i hope kurson is not pushing you too hard, he tends to be a little uh... blunt sometimes, i am not sure if that the right word but he partially is," he said and she chuckled as he smiled at her.

the demon's eyes narrowed as he looked at him, while a few more thoughts ran through his mind at the time and he scoffed then the leader glanced at him.

"who are you?" he asked.

"he is my assistant, he doesn't talk much either, so," she responded and the demon's brows furrowed and a slight smile appeared on her face.

"i see, then there is no problem with him being here, i am glad everything has been going well around here, lately, i was a bit worried at first, i am please to meet you as well, nessa, my name is vito," he said as he brought forth his hand.

"nice to meet you as well," she replied then her eyes narrowed as she looked at his hand and her brows furrowed as she released his hand.

"you want to go back now, don't you?" he asked and she glanced at him.

"it doesn't matter what i want right now, it's what i need to do as a leader," she responded quietly.

"let them assume what they want, i don't care either, i am going to do what is right and say what i want; as a leader, i am going to be free to do that as well," the princess said and at the same time, everyone that was in that circle, looked at her, for they were not expecting to hear her say that.

the leader chuckled, then looked at her as well as the king and so how honest they were being and won't ever hesitate to do certain things.

"i see, so, it would seem to me as though you have changed a bit from when i first met you, i admire your courage as well and both you and your family's honesty, but before things go wayward, let me make myself clear, i have no problem with this or whatsoever, nor do i intend to do any other thing that may be coming to your mind," he replied.

"i accept your decision, this is your kingdom; i am just here to observe, as long as this is what you want, i have no problem with it, please don't misunderstand us, but i do wonder, what brought about the changes in you?" he asked as he looked at mikala.

"her," she responded as she pointed to nessa and vito's eyes narrowed then he smiled.

"she must be talented then, well, now that the air is clear, let's just enjoy the party," he said and the others agreed with him.

everyone was pleased with each other's answers that night, but nessa knew that things wouldn't die down that easily on the enemy's side and she was being patient, but a surprise was waiting for her back in the land she called her own, one that was part of the enemies next move.

later that night, after the party came to an end, everyone called it a night and when nessa returned to her room, she called out to the demon, because she wanted to talk to him about the next step, which may be the final in that kingdom.

when he answered her, she looked and noticed he was in the balcony and she sighed then went to him and at the same time, her eyes widened in surprise at the sight before her.
