As Nessa looked around, the king glanced at her, wondering what was wrong and his brows furrowed, then he returned his attention to the others, who were fighting and didn't know that they were going through a test at the time.
'Some of them still need to work on a few things, a few traits that make a good leader, I just want to get this over with but, I can't be sloppy, this is for the future of our people, this nation,' He thought and Nessa glanced at him and a slight smile appeared on her face, when she saw the serious look in his eyes.
'Looks like he is more determined than I thought he was, well this does concern the future of this nation but right now, I think there is going to be another problem, that which I just sensed...' She thought.
Nessa turned and noticed that the demon was looking elsewhere and she tapped him on his shoulder and he glanced at her and her brows furrowed.
"What are you doing?" She asked.
"You sensed it as well didn't you?" He asked and she looked at him then lowered her head before sighing and nodding.
One of the beasts was sent flying her way and the demon grabbed onto her arm, pulling her out of the way and she looked at the creature as it crashed into the ground.

"Maybe or maybe not but if it does, it would be according to someone's plan," He responded, her eyes narrowed as she looked around them and a few thoughts came to her mind, concerning the ones that were their enemies and she clenched her right fist.
'You people...' She thought as she thought about the ones back in her city and she exhaled deeply then approached the king, who was looking carefully at the candidates then he gnashed his teeth and her brows furrowed.
Nessa realized that the king was irritated about something and she looked at the others, wondering what it was that irritated him and he looked at her then sighed.
"All right, relax, I will explain to you guys, this was all another test, I placed a few things at stake in front of you guys, I led you to believe that the city was actually in danger, it was not," He responded and they left staring at him.
The guy they were fighting against began taking their masks off and Reign's brows furrowed as he looked at them and a blank expression appeared on Nios's face as he stared at them.
"I see... So this was all a test, huh?" Kace asked and the king nodded then Mikala chuckled and they glanced at her and she sighed as she looked at them as she stood beside her father.
"Yeah, it was all just a test, for you guys, all of the candidates," She responded and Kace exhaled deeply.
"I am tired... I am not going to do another test, my brain feels a bit exhausted because of all of this, bro..." Nios mumbled as he braced his head against Reign's shoulder and his brother glanced at him then a gentle smile appeared on his face.
"You are always like that bro, also, I am not your shoulder rest, these things are only natural and are to be expected since we are all basically competing for something important, something that holds everything to this kingdom," Reign said.
"He is right, its very future, brother," Mikala added and he smiled at her and she approached him then patted him on his back and he raised off of his shoulder.
"I understand how some of you may feel about this, but it's one way to help decide or I might just choose," The king said and they smiled at him.
"I think I would prefer that,"Nion replied and the king chuckled.
"Your Highness, I don't really care how it's done as long as it's the king's decision, will there be more tests to come?" Kace asked and the king glanced at him as did Nessa.
At the same time, before the king could even answer, there was a loud roar, which grabbed all of their attention and the demon's eyes narrowed and Nessa's brows furrowed as they looked at what was before them, at the very entrance of the city.
