Chapter 367 No big deal

The guy kept on looking at Nessa with his eyes narrowed as he approached her and she glanced at him as did the demon along with the king and Mikala.

"You are the one he sent in his space?" The guy asked.

"Yeah, I am the one Kurson sent in his space," She responded.

"That's unusual, not the part about him being busy, I know that is true, but you are someone I am not sure I have ever even seen around there before or even around him, so I had to ask," He said and she smiled a little.

"It's understandable, you are just being careful," She replied and a smile appeared on his face then he nodded.

"Yeah, I am glad that you understand, we are here on duty, we just had to make sure, tell me what's your name?" He asked and she looked at him.

"My name is Nessa," She responded.

"Nessa, you are not an employee of his are you?" He asked and she sighed.

"No, I am not one of his employees or anyone that works with them, I am just a friend of his, who is doing him a favor," She responded and he scoffed.

"I see, well that explains why I have not even seen you before, sorry for all the questions, he must trust you a lot to send you here, so there is no problem here, we are used to the way he does certain things," The guy said and Nessa chuckled as she looked at a few of the others that came with him and who were also staring at her and the demon glanced at them.

'They are just staring... That's quite irritating,' She thought then sighed before smiling at them.

"Job? Sorry but he just sent me here to keep an eye on things and contact him if there is any issue or so on, it's what he said he was supposed to do and I am really here on vacation, so that's why he asked me to do it," She responded and they exchanged glances.

The king smiled a little since he was glad they were a little confused and didn't want them to get in the way of what he asked Nessa to do.

"Oh? So you really are here on vacation?" Kace asked as he looked at her.

"Yeah, in a way, is there a problem? Shouldn't Kurson have told me to keep an eye on things in his place?" She asked as she looked at them.

"No, that's not it, he is always doing weird stuff, it's fine as long as he is having his part done, sorry he is disturbing your vacation," The one who asked about the job responded and the woman with them scoffed.

"It's fine, it's no big deal so there is no need to apologize for anything," She said and they smiled at her then she glanced at Kace, whom she noticed was looking at her and her eyes narrowed as a few members of the council went to talk with the king aside from them.

"Mikala and the others didn't know you were in contact with someone from the council, was it okay saying all of this here?" The demon asked as he stood beside her and a smirk appeared on Nessa's face as she turned to look at him and his brows furrowed.

"What are you planning?" He asked and she chuckled.

"Relax a bit, nothing, also, no one will think I lied or anything, they won't catch me in anything either, I did say I was on a vacation and I never said that I was working with Kurson, they will just believe I am a friend doing him a favor, that way, too many eyes won't be on me, it's okay to get a few confused as well, do you understand now?" She asked and he sighed.

'I see, they will just believe that she is here to make sure everything goes well on the day or the choosing and so on, which is why they won't really bother with her, well, it's a good thing she paid attention to each of their questions, now with the answer she gave them, they won't know what she is really up to,' The demon thought before scoffing.

"I understand," He responded and she smiled then Mikala and her knight as well as the others approached them and she smiled at them as the demon glanced at the members of the council and his brows furrowed.
